The Akridge Sunday School Class

Stephanie B ~ for the sickness to leave our home...we are going on over a week with major sickness. I did major cleaning today hoping to kill everything. Pray that Jillian does not get it because she is the only one who hasn't gotten it. Also, please pray for Benny I feel he is at a very good place right now and pray that I can use the right words to show him the grace of the Lord.

Andrea Smith ~ in hospital for infection - her white blood count is extremely high. They will be running more test in the morning

Joseph Oliver - unspoken and Praise his test came back as a negative for Cancer.

Brenda Akridge - BIL had scans today and he will get the results tomorrow. Pray that he can get into a new drug trial in January as he continues his battle with Renal Cancer. Please pray for her sister as she is also battling this along side of him.

Mantineo's - co-worker 28 years old died Friday 12/6 of cancer. Pray for his family and wife

Travel mercies for the Pannells as they leave Friday, November 22nd. pray also for everything to go smoothly without any kinks. Pray for comfort for Jennifer as she is fearful of flying and also comfort Emma Kate as this will be a might big change and confusing for her as well.

Jennifer Holley: my great grandmother is recovering from a stroke. She is in a hospital in Wawtosa, Milwaukee

- Vesla - Chad still having trouble with ankle starts rehab Monday & if in 3 weeks doesn't improve then he will need surgery & unspoken
- Heidi - having tons of pain still in my right arm and left leg. The pain meds just aren't working anymore. Tj's grandmother is doing better. She still has lots of testing to be done but has been taking meds and talking to friends again.
- Brooke - unspoken for tomorrow (monday)
- Catherine - a good friend of mine has cancer for the 3rd time. This time it's in his lungs. He's not taking the news very well and needs prayers for strength to beat this again. His name is Kevin.
- Joseph - for Amy to continue to get better and back up to speed.
- Kimberly - this is my last week teaching the PK students. Pray they will quickly adjust to having their permanent teacher return. Also, pray that I will get more opportunities to substitute in other schools, please.
- Tony & Kenya Anthony - Please pray for healing in my body it seems that it is one thing after another. I am unable to work and Tony is working 2 jobs but the bills are still not getting paid. So please pray for strength, more knowledge, opportunities and just doors opened in our favor.
- We have a friend of a friend whose child was born a few days ago premature and born with one kidney they don't expect the child to live. Prayer is needed for the child and the family please. The family is at a loss. I do not know the families  names.
- Stephanie B. - Grayson needs to get on a good ADD medicine that does not make him have anger issues we hope to be working on that Monday with the doctor.

Remember next Sunday is the potluck Breakfast/Social in Sunday School class. Also, don't forget to "fall back" time change.

The Christmas Party this year will be on December 6th - more details to come but mark your calendars.

Stephanie ~ Grayson was put on medicine for ADHD. I am struggling with this a little but Grayson is doing wonderful. He is still himself and still even having a blast. Please pray that we both get used to this and we find the perfect dosage of medicine so that I do not loose my fun loving, happy, crazy little boy.

Brooke & Jerry - all kids starting back to school - we pray they stay strong in their spiritual beliefs and show that to their friends & teachers. Also for keeping their studies.

Kohlton James - (Jennifer Holley) he will begin round 2 of chemo for histioaltosis, his 4th birthday is Saturday 

Vesla ~ Chad's friend at work was pulled from Afghanistan and being medically discharged due to PTSD. Wife doesn't work and they have a 6 year old son who they just found out has been molested. Please pray for comfort, peace, strength and wisdom.

Heidi - Teygen has moved to a whole pill of his meds and is struggling with side effects. Pray for peace on his body that it adjusts quickly.

Brenda - for my BIL Jim to have strength and peace in his battle with cancer - quickly running out of treatment options. It has been a rough week for him, my sister and their kids.

Vesla - Mom's friend Bonnie Thrash died Friday at the age of 58. Unknown cause. Pray for the family and friends and her students. She is a teacher and I know was close to her workers and students.

Heidi - Teygen has started on meds, praying this helps. It will take 7-10 days to see any changes.

Heather - prayers for the middle school (7th & 8th graders) for mission trip this week! Pray for them to minister to the children; let them know God loves them no matter their circumstances in life.

Mandy - Jessica McIlwain, at 7 months pregnant. Her little boy (they are naming Flynn) has Dandy walker Syndrome. Her mom, Linda I work with. She will be keeping Jessica's daughter Skylar because Jessica has to check into the Ronald McDonald house until the baby is born.

Good morning, I missed seeing everyone yesterday. Here are the prayer request from Sunday

~ Heidi-for a different rental house - their current landlord wants to tear down their rental house. If you know of anything, please let them now. Also, for Tegan to recover with no complications from his fall.
~ Tony-his cousin was murdered, the funeral will be Saturday. He is leaving behind a wife with a 2 year old and a 5 year old.
~ Also, please pray for me. Grayson is asking lots of questions about why his daddy doesn't come to church. I love the innocents of children. He told me that he was going to tell Daddy about God. Took my heart away :). I hope he does. It is a hard talk to have with your child but he was so awesome about it.

Ok so I am trying something a little new and it could completely crash but we shall see. I found a website that will allow us to sign up for food for all of our events online. I set it up to try for April since I do not have a sheet to send around. The cool thing about the site is that it will email you 2 days before to remind you. I think that is the coolest feature. Check out the link and sign up if you can bring food or drinks in April

~ Vesla - her grandmother passed away Sunday night. Please pray for peace for the family
~ Jamie - His grandfather's cancer has returned

~ Jason - his car was broken into this weekend, they stole everything from phones to credit cards. They are also traveling this week so it has made it difficult with no cards.
~ Brenda - Jim (brother in law) will have scans done on the 25th and he will find out on the 26th if the cancer is still there or not
~ The Pannell's - they are hosting a yard sale on 4/13 to raise funds for their adoption. If you have anything (big or small) you would like to donate that would be appreciated. They are also looking for baked goods for a bake sale and volunteers.

Welcome Visitors, Jason & Marla Hayden and John & Rhonda Shelton!

Brenda & Mike - pray for son in law, Michael, to heal quickly from his dirt bike accident, especially his hip, pray he can return to work this week. His infection has cleared up but it will take at least 4 months to completely heal.

The Pannell's - We will have our dossier back later this week and then we will send it to China. We will need $938 for the dossier fee. Please pray the funds will be there.

Heidi - my Aunt is entering depression and not wanting to take medication. My dad still has not had his heart looked @ the dr. don't see the need anymore.

Kimberly Mauldin - my cousin Kayla Mathews is still in the hospital it was not her appendix as first thought. She has an abscess & severe infection in her faloppian tubes.

Good morning, I received this special prayer request this week.

Dear Sunday School Family,
    Tony and I are still looking for a home in the right area, the right everything. Please continue to pray that we find this home that is already set up for our family. Thankfully our landlord gave us an extra 60 days to find somewhere; but unfortunately that 60 days will be up at the end of this month and we will probably have to stay at a hotel.
     Please continue to pray that the Lord's Will, will be done in our life in every aspect of our life.

Another, quick note...Brenda had mentioned that is you ever get a chance to go to a marriage conference on The Song of Solomon to go. Well it is not a conference but if you have the chance to listen online or on the App. Church of the Highlands is doing a 6 week series on the Book of Solomon. I have only listened to the first lesson but it is great.

I missed Sunday school class today due to extreme pain in my neck. I kind of giggle when I say that. I am not sure of the prayers from today but I now have access to update he blog from my phone. As I sit here in he dark (power is out but thanks to Benny's tinkering we have a rebuilt generator running) I thought I would send a few updates. The pannell's will be collecting cans to raise more funds for the adoption (I saw this on facebook). If you have any cans just let jennifer know. Also, I hope I be going to a chiropractor this week to see if we can fix my neck without surgery. Wow we had a full class yesterday. Here is a list of prayers to keep on your heart this week.

Heidi - dad is having a heart cath on Monday. This could have already happened so lets pray for a quick and easy recovery.

There were no prayer request to be put on the blog but a lot of people were out on Sunday. But we had a very good lesson.
