  1. Akridge Fall Hayride

    For those of you that are new to the class and you are unsure what the Hayride is. Here is a little sneak peak and also a little bit about it. Bring your favorite chair, blankets and toys and hang out with us while we roast hot dogs and ride on the hayride through the horse fields. Sometimes a little horse even gives us a visit. This is a great time to fellowship so please join us on October 21st at 3:30 at the Akridge Farm! We can't wait to see you.

    I am going to continue enticing you to come by showing fun pictures from last year!

  2. Today was a wonderful day as we welcomed 2 new members, Michelle & Jamey Ramsey. Michelle and Jamey have a 2 1/2 year old daughter Ella Kate and a new baby girl, Olivia. Please join me in welcoming them to class.

    Here are the prayer request from this weekend. I am going to try and post these Sunday afternoon or sooner but today was a little crazy.

    Prayer Request:
    1. Kimberly Mauldin's step sister Heather Barber has been put on bed rest due to pregnancy complications.
    2. Kimberly is helping with a new teen program for 7th and 8th grade girls and it will be starting soon. This program is called Rubies (Kimberly why don't you send us more information so we can let everyone know what this is)
    3. Kimberly also needs prayers as she is trying to get her certificate in Teaching/Counseling.

    Please let me know if you ever need anything added. I know the book went around pretty early today.

    Announcements:
    Welcome Kimberly & Dale Mauldin
    as new members!!!
    --Set your alarms so you won't miss the launch of the new Sunday School class on September 23rd.  If you would like to come try it out, meet in room C303 with teachers  David & Shelly Cauble.  While we will miss those no longer in the same room, we will be just across the hall so we should be able to see each other on Sundays! 
    --October 21 -- Fall Hayride at the Akridge Farm @ 3:30pm.  The Cauble class and the Akridge class will meet together for a Fun, Fall, Family Gathering.  Remember to bring your lawn chairs, kids toy rides, blankets, marshmallow roasters, and more.  A sign up in the classes will be passed around to bring food items.
    Prayer Requests:
    --Brenda-- my mother for her peace of mind about her health.  Also Jim, my brother-in-law, as he has scans again this Tues. and results on Wed. Pray for his and Rebecca's peace, especially that they can sleep on Tues. night. He's also been having more issues lately with side-effects of the drug
    --Stephanie--a couple negative items that need to be turned into positive.  Just feeling a lot of negativity.
    --Brooke & Jerry--our daughter struggling with newness of kindergarten & change.
    --Mandy--Reidus & Hazel Bryant health issues.
    --Continued growth for the new Cauble class and Akridge class.

    --Announcements:
    Welcome Mandy Bryant as a new member!
    --September 23rd is the BIG day that we begin our new Sunday School class led by David & Shelly Cauble in room C303.  If you are interested in helping launch this new class or if you have any questions please let Brenda or Mike know.

    --Sept 16th--The Great Steak off dinner-6pm. Childcare is provided but please register in Sunday School or by calling the church office. Come enjoy a fun meal served by other Sunday School classes to celebrate winning the attendance challenge.

    --Sept. 15th--Saturday Girls' Morning Out--9:00am at Cracker Barrel. Come meet up with the gals for a morning out full of conversation and fun! Let Brenda know if you are coming so she can know how many to expect.
     
    Prayer requests:
    -Krista - for safe travels for Keith while he's in Canada this week
    -Brooke & Jerry - for our daughter Evie's adjustment to kindergarten
    -Heidi - safe travels for our friend Daniel coming from Florida to visit
    -Dale Mauldin - for continued smooth recovery from shoulder surgery last Thurs.
    -Vesla - peace for Chad with work
    -Tony & Kenya - for a job; for Kenya's being able to enroll in nursing school, because she had to turn down her first acceptance; for God's provision of the right rental house to move to by the end of the month
    -Brenda - for my mom's peace & freedom from worry/fretting; praise that her issue Sunday was only vertigo & not something more serious.
    -Scott's grandaddy as he adjusts to living without his wife of more than 71 years.
