- Paul knew they needed a reminder of what living in the real world was really about.
- Paul is emphasizing the mind as what is important because that is where it all begins.
- The key is that you have a personal relationship with him and then live and experience that daily with him.
- John 17:17 - the truth is found in the truth of Jesus Christ.
- Romans 12: 1 - 2 - the transforming process can only come through the Holy Spirit
- How do we renew our minds? Read his word, prayer, submit yourself daily to Him, Be careful of what you are putting in - "garbage in, garbage out", when you take out a negative in your life you need to put in a positive.
- Paul says to put off - lying (spread the truth), anger (handle it quickly), stealing (honest work, work with our own hands to share with those in need), rotten talk
- a changed life = a changed heart = a changed mouth
- bitterness - replace it with a forgiving spirit
At the end of each day, did you make God smile or make him sad?
